Dan Hammer

Dr. Dan Hammer is the cofounder and Chief Product Officer of LGND, an AI infrastructure company for large Earth observation models. He also co-founded Ode, a tech and design agency for the environment that has won numerous Webby and Anthem Awards for data visualization and web design. Dan won the inaugural Pritzker Environmental Genius Award and previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Obama White House and as a Presidential Innovation Fellow at NASA. As Chief Data Scientist at the World Resources Institute, he co-founded Global Forest Watch. He has also been a National Geographic Fellow and a math instructor at San Quentin State Prison. Dan earned his PhD in environmental economics from U.C. Berkeley, where he was a BIDS Fellow and received the Mark Bingham Prize for Excellence by a Young Alumnus.
