Mona Hamdy

Mona Hamdy is a tech ethicist, designer, and award-winning inventor whose work explores humanity’s dignity and agency at the digital frontier. A Harvard Teaching Fellow in Applied Ethics, Mona is a researcher in SCAD’s Design for Sustainability program, where she develops design interventions and speculative design futures that reimagine the human lifespan in the digital age. She is the founder of Anomaly, an advisory firm specialized in emerging technologies in emerging markets and co-founded the Al Baydha Project, pioneering regenerative economics in Saudi Arabia. Mona is the MENA -region chair of the Harvard Women in Defense, Development and Diplomacy (HW3D), advises the US Berkeley SkyDeck blockchain and AI accelerator, the Milken-Motsepe Prize for Innovation in Agriculture, and is a board alum of the World Bank Special Council on Eradication of Extreme Poverty, the Global Blockchain Business Council, and the Center for Democracy and Technology.
